Now before you get too excited here, this was a “friends” dinner that thanks to the miracle booze known as Riesling, turned into something straight out of the television show “Entourage.” Debbie and Dara are my work buddies. We flirted, but never talked about hooking up.

I was experimenting with new recipes and invited them over as a trial run. Although I do spend a lot of time thinking about getting laid, the thought of sleeping with them never really crossed my mind. Having said that, once they showed up to my place and were sitting in my living room…well, let’s say the mental floodgates opened up like poor New Orleans last year.

Debbie is hotter than Dara, but Dara is really competitive, which makes her the kind of girl who’s up for just about anything. I’m NOT the kind of guy who has had it easy getting action and I’ve had to learn every fucking trick in the book, so much that this recipe could be called GETTING LAID WITH RIESLING. However, women like to see some effort put into something and that’s why cooking is necessary.

Ok, so, back to Debbie and Dara, you impatient bastards. The girls began to drink the “nectar of the gods” and I stayed in the kitchen cooking. I’d picked up some cheese at the store and arranged it on a plate with a few interesting crackers and some grapes (an easy way to look like you’ve put thought into it - remember, the presentation and thought is what counts here).

After I finished cooking chicken and risotto, it was time to unveil my masterpiece. I thought it looked fantastic and was very excited to eat it. Debbie and Dara though, had something else in mind. They were so wasted now and I was getting myself into quite a tricky situation. I had a dilemma on my hands: should I make a move on both girls, one girl, or simply behave ? What’s a guy to do ? Well, let’s just say, parmesan chicken works like a charm.

Sadly, I was way out of my league and I screwed up the whole thing. I called Dara Debbie and then I got nervous. I know, I know, I’m sharing a recipe to get laid easy and I’m supposed to be the go to guy, but this was way too much for me.

Before you stop reading and think I’m a total pussy, let me explain to you what finally did happen. Debbie and Dara did put on quite a show and let’s just say that my cooking led to another experience I had never witnessed in person. All in all, it was a huge night for me.

I don’t want you to think of me as a total sleazebag, looking for action, night after night, rather consider me the big brother who you never had. I love cooking and I love cooking for others and since I love women and sex, why not ? I’m not drugging the women with the booze, in fact, I’ve been some women who don’t even want to drink and that’s cool too. I think it’s about making them feel comfortable and relaxed, and who wouldn’t have a good time in that setting ?

I’ll admit, some of my ways may appear heavy handed and opportunistic, but even if we don’t have sex, the thrill of maybe having sex is almost good enough. Ok, not really, but you have to believe it, because otherwise you’re going to be so hung up on getting it that you completely lose your focus and you become a total scumbag. My sister and I have had so many discussions about intentions and ultimately, if your intention is just getting laid then take the layee to a restaurant. What I’m trying to teach you is about care, love and respect.

Take another occasion for example, this time when I was on vacation.

I met Kirsten who was incredibly hot - enough said. We both knew that meeting on vacation wasn’t going to lead to a long term relationship, so we decided to pretend that we’d been together for years and this was a trip we planned to celebrate our one-year anniversary. I know, it sounds strange, but hear me out….if we had jumped right into bed the first night we met, we may have been too weirded out to hang out anymore and we were wildly attracted to one another, so we decided to celebrate our mock anniversary by doing a cooking class the resort was offering.

That’s when I fell in love with cooking, the patience you learn from it, the way it can excite you, and the promise of getting it right, all life lessons that can teach you so much and who doesn’t want to learn, right ? Taking the time to prepare and present a meal makes people feel loved and making people feel loved is an untapped resource that if done in a genuine way, it can change the world for the better. After all, making a difference is all that really matters.
