Tom Cruise, in an apparent effort to maintain both control and a high level of douchebaggery, has told Katie that he doesn’t want her appearing on friend Victoria Beckham’s (aka Posh Spice) upcoming reality show.The show, which will chronicle Victoria and her soccer star husband David’s move to the United States, was originally believed to include Katie in several episodes. It seemed a natural fit since the two are close. And since they often pal around together, it would only make sense, right?
Not if Tom can help it.
No, it seems as if Mr. Cruise has utilized his Scientology Alien Mind Control Ray once again. A source close to Katie told Life and Style Weekly that Tom’s fear is that Katie would appear to be Victoria’s sidekick. Using an “I Love Lucy” metaphor, he said, “Why would you want to be Ethel if Posh is Lucy?”
It stuns me that Tom would be so keen to keep his wife from appearing to look like a sidekick when that is exactly what she has seemed to be since she met him. A once charming girl who appeared to have a bright future ahead of her, Katie now acts very much like a mindless drone.
I say if Katie wants to be Ethel, let her be Ethel. Because, as it stands right now, anything is better than her current identity of Mrs. Tom Cruise.
